Heavy winds are hammering in Chamonix, 120 km/h already at 2000 metres. You can try and figure out yourself how much wind it then is at the topp of the Aiguille du Midi cable car at almost 4000 metres... All the ski lifts has been closed for three days now. And it's been snowing about a meter so the avalanche danger is hitting the top of the scale. It will be interesting to see if the mountains are still there when it clears up...
