EveryTrail.COM!

If you haven't already, make sure to check out EveryTrail.com, the GPS Travel Community!

We launched 4 months ago and an active community of global travelers is emerging. Users are sharing all kinds of trips, from sailing in Greece, to driving through Namibia in a 4x4, to scooter trips in Hawaii and hundreds more trips!

One cool way to share your latest trip is to embed a FULLY INTERACTIVE trip map into your own blog. For example, take a look at this flight above San Francisco and Silicon Valley.

The Stanford dish loop in Google Earth / Maps

I played a bit more with Google Earth and Google Maps, my digital camera and my GPS. The result is a nice overview of my backyard running loop, called "the dish".Download the file and open it in Google Earth (You will need to have Google Earth installed), or view it as a Google Map.

Back country trip Verbier - Fionnay (with Google Earth track and pictures!)

The last day of our stay in the Alps we did the classic and spectacular daytour from Verbier to Fionnay. I recorded the track with my GPS and created a Google KML file including location based pictures. First download Google Earth if you don't have it yet, and then download the kml file. Enjoy!
