Hello skiers,
A rather beautiful Wednesday has turned into a windy, and cloudy Thursday. Winds appear to be blowing at 50 miles an hour over the ridge top and gusting to 70 plus miles per hours. Summit has been running all day, although the winds shut down Scott for the day. The snow surface, at least on slopes not facing south, is excellent on much of the mountain, as temperatures are in the twenties and thirties. We received a dusting, perhaps an inch, of snow early this morning that freshened the surface of the groomed runs and created soft cushions between the moguls. Visibility was moderate on the lower slopes and poor on the upper mountain.
The weatherman is calling for cloudy skies with the possibility of light snow showers for Friday and snow for Saturday coupled with windy conditions.
Enjoy your day. Andy
